[COVID-19] Let’s Flatten the Curve Together!

COVID-19 is first and foremost a human tragedy, negatively affecting hundreds of thousands of people. It is also having a growing impact on the global economy. Now, more than ever we have to work together and help in all possible ways to improve the current situation and prepare for a quick recovery. 

We, at Meili Robots, are getting ready to launch a universal Fleet Management System (FMS) for autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) and automated guided vehicles (AGVs),  as a tool to assist in easing the immense strain on logistics and supply chain during the Coronavirus outbreak. For example, Chinese authorities have successfully implemented the use of drones and robots in delivering goods and food, as well as helping out with disinfecting hospitals. Following this example, we want to use our tool in easing the workload that operators and companies are being put through. We can do this by using our tool in a wide range of areas where robots can be used, such as; at packaging centres, deliveries of food & goods, takeaways, or at hospitals. By implementing our Meili FMS, the user gains an overview of their fleet while streamlining the operations to produce more effective results. 

Furthermore, the increase in sales of industrial robots has doubled in the past 5 years, which strengthens the idea that robots are the future. In manufacturing, it has proven benefits such as increased productivity and cost reduction, and these could be crucial factors in the current context that COVID- 19 is causing. Moreover, Singapore is planning to use a robot in order to deliver pills and food to the patients infected with Coronavirus at Alexandra hospital.
